Trent Isaacson Named as "Top 20 Under 40" Winner by Mountain States Construction
Mountain States Construction magazine announced this month the recipients of its annual "Top 20 Under 40" awards in the magazine's April issue. Trent Isaacson, chief estimator for The Layton Companies' Health Care Group, was recognized as one of the Top 20.
The "Top 20 Under 40" highlights the best young professionals under the age of 40 in the construction and design industries. More than 40 professionals from the states of Idaho, Montana and Utah were nominated by peers, co-workers and managers. A panel of five judges selected the Top 20 based on criteria including the achievement of or progress toward industry certifications including professional licensure or LEED AP®, community service, industry involvement and contribution to creating or building landmark projects in the Intermountain region.
Isaacson, 39, has worked in the construction industry for 15 years, 10 of which have been with Layton. He has held his current title as chief estimator for the past three years. He is working toward obtaining his LEED® Professional Credentials™ and is a member of the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). Outside of work, Isaacson is involved with the Boy Scouts of America, performs service and serves in a leadership role for his church and is a member of the American Long Rifle Association, a living history organization that focuses on the early history of the United States.
After more than 10 years of estimating and preconstruction work with Layton, Isaacson has a track record of successful projects. Signature projects that he considers highlights of his career include Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center (Las Vegas, Nev.), Mercy Medical Center (Durango, Colo.), Newspaper Agency Corporation (West Valley City, Utah), Portneuf Medical Center (Pocatello, Idaho), Rio Tinto Stadium (Sandy, Utah) and Riverside Community Hospital (Riverside, Calif.).
