Albion Laboratories is a major international producer of amino acid chelated minerals, which are used in prescriptions, nutritional supplements, as food fortification for humans and animals and in fertilizers for plants. The state of the art processing plant in northern Utah was built specifically for the production of metal amino acid chelates for human nutritional supplements and food fortification.

The Albion project included intricate elements and systems, such as extensive control and process piping, stainless steel ductwork, an epoxy aggregate floor system and a three-story drying tower with grating and stainless steel equipment. The complex structure of the facility combined a variety of mediums such as tilt-up concrete panels, block and structural steel. Layton also carefully integrated a large piece of Albion equipment into the building.
