The Brigham City Fire/Ambulance Station has five 80’-long fire department apparatus bays and three EMS ambulance bays, separated by a core section that includes housing offices, training rooms, restrooms and a kitchen and dining area. The upstairs contains dormitories for each department, showers and an exercise area. Double stairways and a fire pole provide quick access to the turnout rooms.
Details reminiscent of the town’s historic train station, such as the double sloped roof with large overhanging eaves with decorative corbels, were incorporated into the timeless design of the building.
Layton worked closely with both departments, the mayor and city officials to ensure the facility meets the current and future needs of the community. |
