Century 16 Theatres in South Salt Lake City was designed to be reminiscent of the grand palace theaters of the past, but with all the amenities of a state of the art facility. The unique, art deco facade and high-end interior finishes lend a hint of sophistication to this modern movie theater.

One of the standout features of the facility is the 70-ft.-high fin towering above the outside of the building. Inside, each of the 16 individual theaters have giant wall-to-wall screens, digital format sound systems and stadium seating. Systems are also in place for hearing-impaired patrons. In addition to a traditional snack bar, movie-goers can enjoy gourmet coffee and desserts from the cinema cafe in the contemporary lobby.

Midway through construction, the client cut six weeks off the construction schedule. Layton met the new deadline without compromising any features of the facility.
