The Davis County Criminal Justice Complex includes three main areas: a 192-bed jail with support facilities, the administrative offices for the county sheriff and the District Court Building, which contains four courtrooms, judges chambers and holding cells supporting the 3rd District Court.

In 2006, Layton was awarded a contract to expand the facility, adding 112,000sf and 400 beds. See related project sheet.
