To meet the needs of Cache Valley’s growing population, Intermountain Healthcare contracted Layton to construct a new Women and Newborn Center on the Logan Regional Hospital campus.

The Women and Newborn Center is the only provider of women’s and newborn services in the area. It is attached to the main hospital to provide convenient OB-GYN space, women outpatient services and a women’s education classroom. Specific services include mammography, ultrasound and bone densitometry rooms. The center also features 30 postpartum rooms, baby nursery, two dedicated C-section suites and a 15-bed Level II Newborn Intensive Care Unit.

The building consists of three floors, each with a 30,000 ft2 footprint. All floors were designed to completely integrate with the existing hospital.
