The Midvale Police Department operated out of the basement of an antiquated public facility for many years until they contracted with Layton to construct a new police station.

The station was built on a high profile site in an area of the city that needed increased police presence. The design team worked around the constraints of a long and narrow site and maximized the area to create a facility that meet the many needs of the city.

The facility includes administrative offices, interview rooms, evidence rooms and a community meeting room. At the back of the facility is a secure sally port and temporary holding area for alleged criminals.
The Layton team completed construction of the station in eight months.
